Talent Drive are exclusively supporting a FTSE100 global manufacturing business in the search for a Senior Buyer to join their growing and highly experienced procurement team based in Cheltenham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of a broad range of direct commodities whilst playing a key role in supplier strategy, cost optimisation and supply chain improvement initiatives.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing key supplier relationships and spend categories
- Developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies
- Leading commercial negotiations and contract management activities
- Driving cost reduction and value improvement projects
- Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
- Managing supplier performance, risk and continuity of supply
- Working closely with stakeholders across engineering, operations and supply chain functions
What we're looking for:
- Procurement experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience managing direct commodities
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
