Category Manager | Construction & Operations| Utilities Brand

Up to £55,000 per annum + 5% bonus + Free onsite parking + 17% pension scheme + CIPS Sponsorship

Sussex (Hybrid/Flexible working)

Overview:

Talent Drive are pleased to be supporting a growing energy organisation based in Sussex who are looking to welcome an experience Category Manager in Construction & Operations.

You will manage the development and implementation of robust category and sourcing strategies for a specified range of categories, driving value and minimising total cost of ownership.

This organisation believes in positive work life balance and offers a hybrid working model where you will be required in the office 2-3 days a week in Sussex and the rest will be remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement specific demand and category strategies and engage with internal customers to understand requirements, volume demands, and specifications
  • Supports on all associated commercial activity to achieve value creation and minimise total cost of ownership, including executing the full sourcing lifecycle and deliver against procurement and value management strategies.
  • You will work with the Senior Category Manager as well as collaboratively with business leads to deliver category specific strategies, including sourcing and contracting
  • You will drive cost reduction through standardisation, aggregation of demand, and actions to minimise tail spend within the category and drive continuous improvement translating external best practices, innovation, and ideas into actionable proposals and plans for the business, building them into category strategies

Salary & Benefits:

  • Up to £55,000 per annum
  • Employer and employee contributory pension up to 17%
