A dynamic and dedicated Category Manager is sought to take control of spend across Travel and Events for an iconic UK sports brand.
Main Responsibilities:
- Engage with key suppliers, including airlines, hotels and travel operators to ensure robust commercial agreements.
- Deliver sourcing opportunities through analysis of procurement spend, supply base, and marketplace research.
- Manage the end-to-end Procurement Cycle, including tender preparation, execution, contract award, and subsequent supplier and contract management.
- Negotiate bespoke contract terms and statements of work with suppliers.
Requirements:
- 5 years procurement experience at a senior level position within a demanding environment.
- MCIPS required as a minimum.
- Experience of managing contracts across Travel including complex, high value agreements with global hotel chains, TMCs, global hire car companies and exhibition providers.
- Experience of setting up, managing, and calling off from Framework agreements and Statement of Works.
- Working knowledge of P2P and Procurement systems, preferably Microsoft D365.
