A leading retail brand is looking to welcome an Indirect Category Buyer to their team due to an internal promotion. This is an exciting opportunity, with clearly defined career pathways and progression opportunities to support you in your long-term career aspirations. This role is pivotal in implementing successful long-term improvement in Procurement, to maximise the best commercial results for the business. You will directly liaise with stakeholders, using your influence to address and meet the needs of your category. You will also collaborate with the rest of the Procurement team and other stakeholders to ensure success.
What the role involves:
- Manage all stages of the Procurement process from strategy definition and creation to the tendering process and launch, all the way through to supplier relationship management and continuous improvement.
- Monitoring and rationalising the supplier base.
- Ensure team KPIs are met to deliver value and drive cost savings.
The person we hope to find:
- Experience in procurement/sourcing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle multiple tasks and prioritise.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Degree qualified / CIPS studier (desirable).
Salary and Benefits: Up to £38,000 per annum + flexible working + competitive bonus + CIPS Sponsorship.
