Talent Curve are recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer on behalf of a long-established engineering business specialising in energy management and smart building solutions across Northern Ireland. This is predominantly an office-based role, working closely with an established customer base of around 30 M&E contractors and existing clients across Northern Ireland.
The role would suit someone with experience in technical sales, estimating or engineering within sectors such as BMS, HVAC controls, PLCs, SCADA, refrigeration controls, automation or wider building services.
The Role
- Preparing estimates and quotations for incoming enquiries
- Working with existing M&E contractor accounts across Northern Ireland
- Negotiating and securing orders
- Supporting technical design and sales activities
- Meeting customers when required and maintaining strong relationships
- Working closely with internal engineering and project teams
- Developing commercial awareness and eventually managing your own sales targets
What They’re Looking For
- Experience within technical sales, estimating or engineering
- Background in BMS, controls, automation, HVAC, PLCs, SCADA, refrigeration controls or similar sectors would be advantageous
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness and confidence dealing with customers
- Organised and proactive approach
