Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – up to £50k + 10% bonus
Are you a talented Mechanical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a well-established heavyweight in the heavy machinery sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone due to company growth. This permanent role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a reputable company, with competitive salary packages on offer.
Responsibilities
- Leading the mechanical design process for heavy machinery and equipment projects
- Creating and reviewing detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications
- Ensuring designs meet safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Providing technical support during manufacturing and commissioning phases
- Participating in design reviews and troubleshooting design issues as they arise
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably within heavy machinery or related sectors
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and relevant industry standards
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- BSc/BEng or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
