Talent Curve are working with a well-established engineering contractor who deliver design, construction and maintenance solutions across the water and wastewater sector. This role is easily commutable from Belfast, Lisburn, Portadown, Banbridge, North Down etc and with hybrid working in place, could likely suit someone from wider NI.
The Role
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will take the lead on developing and managing engineering designs across multiple projects from initial concept and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support. You will work closely with project teams, clients and other engineering disciplines to ensure high-quality, compliant and practical design solutions are delivered. The role will also involve reviewing design work from other engineers and providing technical guidance across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of engineering design solutions from concept stage through to detailed design
- Support project teams with technical input and design coordination
- Liaise with internal teams and clients to fully understand project requirements
- Attend site surveys and gather technical information to inform design solutions
- Produce and review detailed designs using Revit (3D) and AutoCAD (2D)
- Participate in internal and client design review meetings
- Prepare and manage design risk assessments in line with company and statutory requirements
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance within the design team
What We're Looking For
- Third level qualification in an Engineering related discipline
- Strong experience in mechanical design
- Understanding of water or wastewater treatment processes would be advantageous
