The client has a strong portfolio of clients and a strong pipeline of work exceeding project standards throughout the Northern Ireland construction market, with a strong pipeline of work in the upcoming years. This opportunity is not one to be missed.
The role:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets and tender documents.
- Track project costs and provide regular financial updates.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure compliance and clear understanding of project specifications.
- Work both independently and amongst a highly supportive commercial team / multi-disciplinary business teams and site management to ensure smooth running of projects.
- Negotiate material prices with vendors, suppliers and contractors to reduce costs.
- Identify, monitor, mitigate and manage any commercial risks.
The ideal candidate:
- University degree in Quantity Surveying or related courses.
- Industry certifications are advantageous.
- Fitting background desired.
- Previous experience working on projects of up to £15m.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide regular project updates.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines whilst maintaining high standards.
