We're working with a well-established industrial automation business that delivers bespoke control and automation solutions to manufacturers across Northern Ireland and the UK. With a team of around 10 engineers, they've built a strong reputation within the food processing sector, helping customers improve efficiency, productivity and reliability through innovative automation systems. Due to continued growth, they're looking to bring an Automation Engineer into the team.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll spend most of your time working directly with customers on site rather than being tied to a desk. You'll be involved in projects from initial concept through to commissioning, working closely with customers to understand processes, solve problems and deliver automation solutions that make a real impact.
The Role- Design, develop and support industrial automation and control systems
- PLC programming and modification of existing systems
- HMI and SCADA development
- Commissioning and fault-finding on customer sites
- Working directly with customers to understand operational requirements
- Supporting projects from concept through to completion
- Travel throughout Northern Ireland, with occasional visits to customer sites in England
- Experience within automation, controls, electrical or manufacturing engineering
- Knowledge of PLC-based control systems
- Comfortable working on customer sites and managing your own workload
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Previous experience within manufacturing, food processing or industrial environments would be advantageous
- £50,000 - £55,000 salary
- Profit share scheme
- 29 days annual leave with full rollover flexibility

- Mileage reimbursement for business travel
