We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead delivery on a major road construction project in Louth, with a strong focus on earthworks and road construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of engineers, direct labour and sub-contractors for all Earthworks and Site Works elements of a new road construction project.
- Drive the pace of the project and plan the work in the field.
- Temporary Works Design & Coordination.
- Takes ownership for ensuring that HSQE protocols are adhered to on sites at all times.
- Maintains quality control procedures at all times.
- You will liaise with the Project Manager on a day-to-day basis.
- Provide input and direction on the project with a focus on Constructability, Costs and Efficiency.
- Maintain and complete comprehensive site records, in line with company procedures.
- Flags any issues with the Contract Management Team, which have the potential to have an impact on the effective delivery of the project - i.e., materials, works schedules, resources, H&S matters or issues relating to cost or delivery schedule.
- Contributes to and completes project programmes, at various levels i.e. overall programme, 6-week lookaheads and 3-week lookaheads.
- Coordinates and prioritises the sequence of activities on site.
- Follows the Project Plan as a means of ensuring that work is carried out on time and on budget.
About You:
- You will have a relevant degree, BSc, BEng or MEng degree in Civil Engineering.
- 7+ years hands-on operational experience managing a range of Civil Engineering projects.
- Proven experience managing civil engineering projects, ideally within roads or infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of earthworks and site operations.
- Confident in programme planning and short-term scheduling.
- Committed to high standards of health & safety and quality.
