We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a growing utilities company delivering essential infrastructure projects across the water, wastewater, energy and utility sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate to begin their career in a site-based role, gaining hands-on experience across the planning, coordination and delivery of civil engineering works. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers while receiving structured training and ongoing career development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day delivery of civil engineering and utilities projects
- Support site engineers and project managers with planning and coordination
- Carry out site inspections, surveys and measurements
- Assist with setting out and checking works against drawings and specifications
- Monitor subcontractors, labour, materials and site progress
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation
- Support quality, health and safety, and environmental compliance
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, local authorities and internal project teams
- Assist with identifying and resolving technical or site-related issues
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong interest in utilities, infrastructure and site-based engineering
- Good technical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a project team
- Full driving licence
- Previous placement or site experience would be beneficial but is not essential
