Im working with a well-established engineering manufacturer who design and build specialist equipment used globally. Theyre continuing to grow and invest heavily in new product development, and theyre now looking to bring in an NPI / Manufacturing Engineer to support that.
The Role
This is a hands-on role focused on taking new products from concept through to full production. Youll be right in the middle of it working across design, R&D and the shop floor to make sure products are built efficiently, correctly, and to a high standard.
Day to day:
- Supporting new product introduction from concept to production
- Leading DFM / DFA reviews to ensure designs are manufacturable
- Developing manufacturing processes, tooling, and work instructions
- Leading prototype builds and first article validation
- Acting as the link between design, production, quality, and supply chain
- Driving root cause analysis and fixing production issues quickly
- Implementing improvements to reduce rework, scrap, and inefficiencies
- Supporting production teams and training operators on new processes
What Theyre Looking For
- Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar
- A placement year in an engineering related role would be highly beneficial
- Exposure to tools like SolidWorks, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC or ERP systems is a plus
