We are recruiting an Engineering Administrator for a leading heavy manufacturing organisation. This is not just a standard office desk jobour client uses this specific administrative position as a direct gateway to a Junior Design Engineer role. Once you become fully proficient in the core compliance and administrative tasks, you will be fast-tracked into structured training for 3D design.
What You Will Do:
Regulatory Compliance: Manage and oversee statutory compliance procedures, coordinating weekly applications with transport regulatory bodies (DVSA / IVA / ADR framework support).
Technical Distribution: Act as the primary administrative link for the engineering office, supplying parts drawings and DXF files directly to manufacturing suppliers.
Documentation Control: Issue documentation packs (Certificates of Conformity) to corporate customers when products are released from production.
Database Management: Keep internal engineering databases up to date, monitoring technical applications and tracking continuous improvement tasks.
Office Coordination: Manage incoming technical emails, phone queries, and general office supply tracking to support the wider design team.
What You Bring:
Educational Background: A degree-level qualification in engineering (B.Eng) or a solid engineering/manufacturing background is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Familiarity or practical exposure to design tools (AutoCAD / 3D Modelling software) is a distinct advantage.
Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a clear desire to learn and progress into a full engineering track.
IT Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and database administration.
