The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a property maintenance team working across high-end sites in Surrey. This is a mobile role, responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of mechanical systems and building services equipment. You will be involved in both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring all plant and systems operate efficiently, safely, and in line with required standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems
  • Service and maintain AHUs, FCUs, and associated plant equipment
  • Work on pumps including seals, bearings, and alignment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
  • Provide support with installation and upgrades of mechanical systems
  • Prioritise workloads to meet operational and client requirements
  • Participate in an on-call rota and occasional night work when required
  • Oversee subcontractors on-site and ensure work is completed to standard
  • Provide technical support relating to building plant and mechanical systems
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Complete job sheets and reports accurately (paper or electronic)
  • Carry out additional duties as required within the scope of the role

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 / Apprenticeship in Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing or similar
  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within building services
  • Strong knowledge of AHUs, FCUs, pumps, seals, bearings, and alignment
  • Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently
  • Basic understanding of BMS and electrical systems
  • Ability to complete reports and documentation accurately
  • Full UK driving licence
