The Opportunity: We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our building services maintenance team at a high-end commercial site in Marylebone. This is a day shift role offering a great work-life balance with no weekend or night work. You’ll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical systems within the building, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems, pumps, valves, AHUs, FCUs, pipework, and plant equipment
- Fault-finding, repairs, and general mechanical maintenance
- Monitor and maintain mechanical plant systems to ensure efficient operation
- Complete maintenance logs, service reports, and compliance paperwork
- Work alongside electrical engineers and fabric technicians as part of the onsite maintenance team
- Liaise with site management and external contractors where required
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing
- Experience in commercial building services maintenance (essential)
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical plant equipment
- Reliable, proactive, and capable of working independently
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
