We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established building services contractor working across a varied portfolio of commercial contracts throughout Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The Role
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and fault finding across a wide range of commercial properties. You'll work across a mixed portfolio including offices, schools, healthcare facilities, retail, industrial and other commercial buildings, ensuring gas and heating systems are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial gas appliances and heating systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults on boilers, burners and associated plant.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
- Respond to reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required.
- Work on pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels, pipework and heating controls.
- Complete all service reports and compliance paperwork accurately.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with current Gas Safe regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the business on client sites.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Gas ACS qualifications (COCN1 or CODNCO1).
- Commercial gas maintenance and breakdown experience.
- Strong fault-finding skills.
- Experience working within commercial building services.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good communication and customer-facing skills.
