An established and growing property services organisation is seeking an experienced BMS Engineer to join their mobile engineering team, covering a portfolio of high-quality residential and commercial properties across Surrey. This is a field-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and working across multiple sites, ensuring building systems operate at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily service checks and monitor BMS systems across multiple properties
- Diagnose faults and replace components including actuators, controllers, valves, and control modules
- Download and update system software where required
- Calibrate BMS controls to ensure optimal system performance
- Identify faulty parts, manage spares, and coordinate replacements
- Liaise with and supervise specialist contractors on-site
- Deliver both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and job sheets
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
Requirements
- Strong experience working with BMS systems such as Trend, Tridium, or similar platforms
- Proven background in BMS installation, maintenance, and fault finding
- Experience with electrical systems, including 3-phase, VSDs, and PLCs
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance and system audits
- 18th Edition (BS7671) or equivalent electrical qualification
- Ability to manage workload independently in a mobile role
- Strong reporting and administrative skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
