Salary: £50,000 per annum
Location: East London (multiple sites)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm
On-call: Rota basis (approx. 1 in 4–8)
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across a portfolio of sites in East London. This is a management-focused role, ideal for someone with strong leadership, planning, and process-improvement experience rather than hands-on trade work.
You will manage day-to-day maintenance delivery through a small group of long-standing subcontractors, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and high standards across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee 2–3 subcontractors, maintaining strong long-term working relationships
- Manage maintenance operations across 6–7 sites, including main residential and studio locations
- Own and manage the maintenance ticketing system, prioritising and allocating work effectively
- Ensure full health & safety compliance across all properties (hotel or hospitality background highly desirable)
- Conduct regular site visits (main site plus additional locations)
- Drive process improvements, planning, and operational efficiencies
- Act as escalation point during on-call rota periods
- Work closely with senior leadership to support wider operational goals
What We’re Looking For
- Proven maintenance management experience
- Experience managing teams or subcontractors
- Strong office-based, strategic mindset with a focus on systems and improvement
- Solid understanding of health & safety and compliance
- Organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple sites
- Hospitality, hotel, or multi-site property experience is a strong advantage
