Fleet Manager

Location: Bognor Regis Salary: £50,000 per annum, increasing following successful completion of probation Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm, with Saturdays as required

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fleet Manager to join a growing accident repair group, overseeing a fleet of 550+ vehicles, including courtesy cars.

Based at the company's Head Office in Bognor Regis, you'll take responsibility for ensuring the fleet remains safe, compliant and operational, while managing vehicle availability and supporting the wider business.

This is a varied role that will suit an organised and experienced Fleet Manager who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.

The Role

  • Manage the day-to-day operation and compliance of a fleet of 550+ vehicles.
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line with DVSA, fleet and safety regulations.
  • Oversee servicing, maintenance, inspections and MOTs to ensure vehicles remain safe, legal and operational.
  • Manage the allocation, utilisation and availability of courtesy vehicles.
  • Monitor fleet performance, utilisation, maintenance trends and operating costs.
  • Introduce and monitor KPIs to improve fleet performance and efficiency.
  • Work closely with Operational, Claims, Regional and Site Management teams.
  • Ensure vehicle availability supports repair capacity and customer requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with leasing companies, maintenance providers and transport contractors.
  • Manage supplier performance and ensure value for money and high service standards.
  • Ensure driver compliance and relevant vehicle documentation is maintained.

About You

  • Previous experience working as a Fleet Manager, Fleet Operations Manager, Transport Manager or similar.
  • CPC licence is required and strong knowledge of DVSA regulations and road transport legislation.
  • Experience managing a large and varied fleet, ideally including both cars and HGVs.
  • Good understanding of vehicle maintenance, servicing, MOTs and compliance.
  • Confident working with internal teams, suppliers and external partners.
  • Good understanding of the regulations and safety standards surrounding vehicle transportation.
