An exciting opportunity to join an established, award-winning IT recruitment business! Talent Chief Ltd is partnering with a well-respected technology recruitment company that's looking to hire an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to strengthen its Birmingham team.

Founded over a decade ago, the business has built a strong reputation across contract and permanent IT recruitment, working with private sector organisations and public sector clients across the UK. It's growing its headcount again this year and wants to bring in experienced recruiters who'd like to build a long-term career rather than just move to another desk.

Something that stands out about this business is how long its people stay. Most of the leadership team has been there for well over five years, they work alongside consultants every day, and several of them came up through the consultant ranks themselves. Senior people are also given a genuine path to a stake in the business.

The Role

You'll take ownership of a specialist IT desk, building relationships with hiring managers and placing technology professionals into contract, interim and permanent roles. Depending on your background, you could focus on areas such as Infrastructure & Cloud, Cyber Security, Data & BI, Software Development or IT Transformation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and growing your own market and client base
  • Taking detailed briefs and advising clients on salaries, day rates and the market
  • Headhunting and building relationships with high-calibre tech professionals
  • Managing the process from start to finish, from shortlisting through to offer and start
  • Working closely with the account and delivery teams to fill live vacancies
  • Supporting and sharing your knowledge with less experienced consultants

What They're Looking For

  • At least 2 years' recruitment experience with a consistent billing record
  • A background in IT or technology recruitment is ideal, though strong billers from other markets will be considered
  • Contract recruitment, IR35 or public sector framework experience would be a big plus
  • Commercial, confident and great at building lasting relationships
  • Ambition to progress into senior or leadership positions over time
  • Able to commute to central Birmingham

What's On Offer?

  • £28,000 – £35,000 basic salary, depending on experience
  • One of the strongest commission schemes in the market, on both contract and perm placements
  • Overseas incentive trips for top performers
  • An earlier finish at the end of each week
  • Extra paid time off for family commitments
  • Structured training and coaching from experienced leaders
  • Clear, proven progression routes, including a route to equity for senior people
  • Life cover, a cycle-to-work scheme and EV charging on site
  • A sociable team with regular events and rewards for going the extra mile

If you're an experienced recruiter looking for a stable, ambitious business where your billings are properly rewarded, this is well worth a conversation. Apply now or get in touch with Talent Chief for a confidential chat.
