Client Development Manager – IT & Technology Recruitment Birmingham (Office-Based) Up to £45,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission IT, Digital & Technology Recruitment A rare chance to own the relationships behind an established IT recruitment brand!

Talent Chief Ltd is working with a long-standing, highly regarded technology recruitment company in Birmingham. They want an experienced IT recruiter to take charge of a portfolio of their most valuable clients and help those relationships grow. This role is ideal for someone who loves the client side of recruitment but has had enough of chasing cold leads. The business already has a strong book of established customers, plus a dedicated delivery team who look after candidate sourcing. Your focus is simple: become the go-to person for these clients, understand where their hiring is heading, and turn that insight into new opportunities.

The company has been growing for over a decade, is known for keeping its people for years, and has a leadership team that's been built largely from within.

The Role

  • You'll look after a group of key client accounts. Some are already active, others haven't hired with the business for a while, and there's plenty of room to grow them all.
  • You'll spend your time meeting hiring managers and senior stakeholders face to face, getting under the skin of their technology plans, and making sure the delivery team is lined up to fill their roles fast.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Getting to know your portfolio inside out, from org charts to future hiring plans
  • Spending real time with clients, in person and at networking and industry events
  • Re-engaging accounts that have gone quiet and finding new teams to work with inside existing clients
  • Shaping a growth plan for each account and tracking progress against it
  • Briefing the delivery team clearly and keeping every client updated
  • Keeping the CRM accurate so nothing slips through the cracks
  • Hitting and beating revenue goals for your portfolio

What They're Looking For

  • A solid background in IT or technology recruitment
  • Hands-on experience of contract recruitment, as many of the clients hire contractors
  • Evidence of growing accounts over time rather than one-off placements
  • Confidence presenting to and influencing senior decision-makers
  • Sharp commercial instincts and strong negotiation skills
  • Well organised, self-driven and naturally sociable
  • Able to commute to central Birmingham

What's On Offer?

  • Up to £45,000 basic salary, depending on experience
  • A highly rewarding, uncapped commission structure
  • A ready-made portfolio of established clients, with no cold calling to start from scratch
  • A budget for taking clients out and building relationships
  • Overseas incentive trips for top performers
  • A shorter Friday and extra paid leave for family commitments
  • A clear path towards leadership, with a business that promotes from within
  • A long-serving, close-knit team that's easy to settle into

If you're an IT recruiter who gets more out of building partnerships than chasing new logos, this is a role worth exploring. Apply now or get in touch with Talent Chief for a confidential chat.
