They are seeking a proactive Principal Recruitment Consultant to drive their growth and expand their client portfolio in the South-West.
Founded during the pandemic, the company is going from strength to strength, opening a second office in that time, and looking to expand nationwide over the next few years. What are we looking for?
The Company is now set on exploring options for Bristol and the surrounding areas, and is looking for an experienced Construction Recruiter to join them to help open the Bristol Branch. You will be responsible for identifying new client opportunities, mapping the market, developing long-term relationships within the construction industry, and increasing the agency's market presence, alongside the usual delivery requirements for your clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in business development within the recruitment and construction sectors.
What is the job?
As a Principal Recruitment Consultant in a construction recruitment agency, your primary focus will be building your own desk from scratch in the Bristol area, whilst simultaneously working alongside the company's other client base that may have a standing in the local area. You will be calling prospects daily to agree terms and build a candidate base to really offer your clients the best possible service and grow the company's sterling reputation. In time, when you’re at the right level of business, you’ll be hands-on in bringing in new team members to the branch and be involved in company strategy meetings to promote further growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with construction companies and contractors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and key industry stakeholders.
- Present recruitment solutions and value propositions to prospective clients.
- Understand client staffing requirements and advise on market trends and talent availability.
- Deliver on the above with top-tier candidates within the industry.
- Build a robust pipeline of clients and candidates through networking, cold outreach, and industry events.
- Collaborate with other consultants to ensure client needs are met effectively.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance visibility and relationships.
- Contribute to marketing and promotional initiatives to position the agency as a leading recruitment partner within construction.
Requirements:
- 360 Agency experience with construction recruitment is a must.
- A full UK driver’s license.
- Knowledge of the construction industry clients, roles, and talent market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated with a strategic and entrepreneurial approach.
- A strong network within the construction industry is desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and targets simultaneously.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
