TCS Consulting is supporting a leading global manufacturer of industrial sensor and automation solutions in the search for a Sales Engineer to cover South Wales. This is a home-based, field sales role focused on building relationships with OEMs, end users and system integrators across a wide range of industrial sectors. The successful candidate will combine technical understanding with commercial drive, helping customers identify the right sensor, automation and application-led solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a defined sales territory across South Wales
  • Build relationships with OEMs, end users, system integrators and industrial customers
  • Demonstrate technical products and solutions, preparing proposals, quotations and value propositions
  • Generate new enquiries through site visits, networking, exhibitions, social media and prospecting
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including leads, opportunities, customer interactions and quotations
  • Work with internal product, marketing and industry specialists to develop complete customer solutions

Requirements:

  • Must live on patch within SA, CF, LD, NP, HR, GL, WR or BS postcodes
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar UK-based sales, technical sales or regional sales role
  • Experience working with OEMs, end users and/or system integrators
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, sensors, controls, electronics or related technical products
  • Strong account management, communication and negotiation skills
  • Full, clean UK driving licence with flexibility to travel and stay overnight when required
