Talent by Sears is acting on behalf of their client who are looking for a Children's Support Worker - Male to join their team in Cannock. The Children's Support Worker will ideally have experience of working within a Children’s Residential setting caring for those with Learning Disabilities. The company specialises in the care of children between the ages of 8-18, with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional Behavioural Disorder (EBD).
Their homes are Ofsted registered to care for 2 young people and are currently all rated as “GOOD or OUTSTANDING with Ofsted”. This candidate must have sound knowledge of the Quality Care Standards that govern Children’s Residential settings and have the skills and qualities needed in providing the high quality of care to the children residing at the home.

We are looking for a Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our growing team in Cannock, who ideally has previous experience of working within a Children’s Residential setting caring for those with Learning Disabilities. The company specialises in the care of children between the ages of 8-18, with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional Behavioural Disorder (EBD).
Their home is Ofsted registered to care for 2 young people and are currently all rated as “GOOD”. This candidate must have sound knowledge of the Quality Care Standards that govern Children’s Residential settings and have the skills and qualities needed in providing the high quality of care to the children residing at the home.
Some of the duties and responsibilities held by the successful candidate include:
- Supporting Young People in their day-to-day routines -
- Completing and maintaining administrative records as required by the home
- Providing a positive role model for the Young People -
- Developing and maintaining professional working relationships.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must be willing to work towards a funded NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People qualification.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential.
- Assist children with Personal Care may be required with this position due to the needs of some of the Children/Young People you will be supporting.
- Role involves 10 sleep ins per month, 12 hour shifts, you must be able to work across 7 days per week
- Rota in 2 on 4 off rolling rota.
- All candidates will be subject to Safer Recruitment and DBS checks.
