Senior Contracts Manager - Civil Engineering & Groundworks
Up to £120,000 + Company Vehicle/Car Allowance + Benefits
Location: Midlands
We are working with a strong, well-established and growing civil engineering and groundworks contractor seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to take responsibility for a substantial portfolio of projects across the Midlands.
This is a senior opportunity for someone with a proven track record delivering large-scale groundworks, civil engineering and infrastructure projects, with the commercial, contractual and operational capability to manage multiple schemes and lead project teams.
The Role
You will take overall responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to completion, managing programmes, budgets, commercial performance, contracts, subcontractors and delivery teams. You'll work closely with clients, commercial colleagues, Project Managers and Site Teams, providing strong leadership while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
The role will also involve client management, contract negotiations, variations and claims, project reporting, risk management, procurement and subcontractor performance, together with supporting the senior management team on business development and future project opportunities.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an established Contracts Manager / Senior Contracts Manager with substantial experience within civil engineering and groundworks, ideally having managed multiple large-value projects.
You should have strong commercial and contractual knowledge, excellent leadership and client-facing skills, and a solid understanding of NEC and/or other relevant construction contracts. Experience across groundworks, roads, drainage, utilities and infrastructure would be highly advantageous.
SMSTS and CSCS are required.
