A leading subcontractor is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor. This well established organisation is continuing its impressive growth trajectory and is therefore expanding their commercial team. The roles could suit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to step up, an established Quantity Surveyor looking for a move to a Senior Quantity Surveyor, or a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge. You will have significant experience and be keen to progress and further develop your skills and experience. You'll take commercial responsibility across all stages of projects through to final accounts, ensuring cost efficiency, risk management, and strong client relationships.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing and submitting accurate valuations, variations and final accounts
- Cost control, forecasting, and budget management
- Liaising with site teams and project managers to monitor progress and costs
- Procuring subcontractors and managing their packages
- Conducting site visits to assess ongoing work and compliance
- Ensuring contractual and commercial compliance with project requirements
- Preparing monthly cost/value reconciliation and forecasting reports
About you:
- Significant experience within Quantity Surveying
- Strong knowledge of contracts and cost management
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
- Industry recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying is desirable but not essential (or equivalent experience)
