We are looking for an organised and proactive Hire Controller to join our client within the construction industry. This is an office-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced working environment, has excellent communication skills and can build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

The Role

  • Coordinating the day-to-day hire of construction equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly from initial enquiry through to off-hire.
  • Managing incoming hire enquiries and customer bookings.
  • Coordinating equipment deliveries and collections.
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, drivers and site teams.
  • Monitoring equipment availability and utilisation.
  • Processing hire paperwork and maintaining accurate records.
  • Arranging extensions, off-hires and equipment movements.
  • Resolving customer queries and dealing with issues efficiently.
  • Providing excellent customer service at all times.

About You

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicating with customers and colleagues.
  • Able to work under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Comfortable using computer systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive, reliable and able to use their own initiative.
  • Experienced within plant, tool or equipment hire (desirable but not essential).

What We Offer

  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000.
  • Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm.
