We are looking for an organised and proactive Hire Controller to join our client within the construction industry. This is an office-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced working environment, has excellent communication skills and can build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
The Role
- Coordinating the day-to-day hire of construction equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly from initial enquiry through to off-hire.
- Managing incoming hire enquiries and customer bookings.
- Coordinating equipment deliveries and collections.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, drivers and site teams.
- Monitoring equipment availability and utilisation.
- Processing hire paperwork and maintaining accurate records.
- Arranging extensions, off-hires and equipment movements.
- Resolving customer queries and dealing with issues efficiently.
- Providing excellent customer service at all times.
About You
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicating with customers and colleagues.
- Able to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Comfortable using computer systems and Microsoft Office.
- Proactive, reliable and able to use their own initiative.
- Experienced within plant, tool or equipment hire (desirable but not essential).
What We Offer
