Injection Moulding Technician
Rotating shifts (6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm with cover on nights if required).
£16.50 per hour + shift allowance of £3 per hour for any night shift worked.
Our client, based in the Birmingham area, is seeking a skilled technician who ensures high‑quality, right‑first‑time manufacture and smooth running of injection moulding operations.
What you’ll be doing
- Setting and conditioning injection mould tools
- Troubleshooting faults and responding to machine alarms
- Maintaining quality standards and processing parameters
- Routine maintenance and fault finding with basic electrical knowledge
- Preparing auxiliary and assembly equipment
- Recording production data and ensuring full traceability
- Supporting continuous improvement and best practice
What they’re looking for
- At least 3 years’ experience in injection moulding
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability with an innovative outlook
- IMT Level 2 (or working towards) would be beneficial but is not essential
- A proactive, quality‑driven mindset
- Comfortable working rotating shifts and taking responsibility on shift in the absence of the supervisor
