As the Chair of Newydd Housing Association, you will provide exceptional leadership to the Board, guiding the development of agendas, chairing meetings, and ensuring productive discussions that lead to clear communication and accountability. You will ensure compliance with laws and governance frameworks, foster collaboration, and support the strategic planning and implementation processes. Your external representation of the Board will be vital, promoting equality, diversity, and inclusivity across our group and fostering a culture of respect and engagement.
Hours of Work: Part Time, 2 days per month
Chair of Newydd Housing Association Requirements:
- Senior leadership or Board-level experience, preferably within the community, non-profit, or public sectors.
- Expertise in governance, finance, legal, or human resources, with a solid understanding of governance frameworks and strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements and finance and audit principles.
- Proven track record of cultural competence and leadership, with excellent management skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
