A well-established fresh produce business in the West Midlands area is looking for a QC / Harvest Rig Team Leader to join its busy and fast-paced operation. Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Control
    • Carry out product quality intake checks and report findings
    • Complete positive release assessments on stock
    • Monitor product quality against customer specifications
    • Conduct checks on labels, weights, temperatures, and equipment accuracy
    • Liaise with dispatch and commercial teams regarding stock rotation
    • Assess harvested product quality before packing
  • Harvest Rig / Flow Wrapper Operations
    • Follow daily packing plans and ensure orders are completed efficiently
    • Prepare the rig with sufficient packaging materials
    • Set up and oversee flow wrapper operation
    • Ensure correct packaging, coding, and labelling standards
    • Supervise packing operatives and maintain productivity
    • Maximise output while maintaining high-quality standards
  • General Duties
    • Complete relevant paperwork
