This opportunity will not be around for long. A progressive, high input dairy operation in the North West is looking for an experienced Dairy Manager, or a capable couple/family, to take full responsibility for a 200-cow herd. This is a genuine opportunity to run a well-invested, modern unit with a high level of independence. The owner takes a hands-off approach with monthly visits, giving you full control of the day-to-day running of the farm. The farm is run as a high input system, requiring strong attention to detail, performance management, and consistency across all areas.
Role responsibilities:
- Full day-to-day management of a 200-cow dairy herd
- Overseeing milking routines and parlour performance
- Managing herd health, fertility, and mastitis control
- Youngstock management and calf rearing
- TMR feeding and ration management
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and farm presentation
- Record keeping, compliance, and performance tracking
- Liaising with vet, nutritionist, and external advisors
