Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control
- Carry out product quality intake checks and report findings
- Complete positive release assessments on stock
- Monitor product quality against customer specifications
- Conduct checks on labels, weights, temperatures, and equipment accuracy
- Liaise with dispatch and commercial teams regarding stock rotation
- Assess harvested product quality before packing
- Harvest Rig / Flow Wrapper Operations
- Follow daily packing plans and ensure orders are completed efficiently
- Prepare the rig with sufficient packaging materials
- Set up and oversee flow wrapper operation
- Ensure correct packaging, coding, and labelling standards
- Supervise packing operatives and maintain productivity
- Maximise output while maintaining high-quality standards
- General Duties
- Complete relevant paperwork accurately
- Support staff training and audits
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety procedures
- Support other departments when operationally required
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or above (Food Production / Agriculture / Manufacturing or related field)
- Previous experience in fresh produce / packhouse / QC / food production
- Team leadership or supervisory experience
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable approach
