Our client is a well-established, family-run textile merchants based in Southend-on-Sea supplying bespoke tailoring to the fashion and theatre/film industries. They are looking for a Sales Administrator to join their close-knit team. This role is a great opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic team player who is ready to learn and work hard.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Receive incoming calls and e-mails from customers dealing with enquiries, quotations and orders
- Accurately process orders onto our inhouse system in a timely fashion
- Allocate stock for orders
- Liaise directly with the customers by telephone and e-mail, ensuring quality customer service in every situation
- Work closely with colleagues in the Sales team and in the Warehouse to ensure customer orders are processed correctly and efficiently
- General administrative duties as required
The ideal candidate will:
- Have worked in a sales/merchanting environment previously with experience and understanding of stock allocation
- Ideally have textile and/or tailoring knowledge
- Have strong IT skills including proficient knowledge of Outlook and other Microsoft programs
- Have strong communication skills
- Be well organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Be open to learning how to use new software (full training will be provided)
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, office based only, no hybrid.
