Talent Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be supporting a thriving, well‑established business in Manchester City Centre with the recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a brilliant development opportunity for someone looking to step away from purely transactional finance and build strong, hands‑on management accounting experience. You’ll work closely alongside an experienced Management Accountant, gaining exposure to month end, reporting, and analysis, with genuine scope to progress as the business continues to grow. Key Responsibilities
- Supporting month‑end close, including journals, prepayments and accruals
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances
- Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts
- Producing weekly profit and performance reports, with commentary across departments
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and posting monthly depreciation
- Assisting with VAT returns and supporting analysis
- Managing corporate credit card reconciliations and expense postings
- Supporting audit processes and preparing lead schedules
- Assisting with ad hoc finance projects as the business evolves
The Ideal Candidate
