The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 Β£ per year.

We are looking for a Diagnostic Technician to carry out general servicing and mechanical repairs on our customers' vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Being an ambassador of the Citygate workshop and championing technical best practice.
  • Carrying out service, diagnosis, and repair of vehicles to excellent standards.
  • Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control.
  • Liaising with customers to provide your expert, technical opinion.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work.
  • Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience ideally within a main dealership and have served a recognised apprenticeship with the appropriate qualifications (an NVQ in Motor Vehicle Technology or equivalent is essential).
  • The ability to be self-motivated to achieve targets.
  • A passion for learning and if desired to progress further.
  • An interest in coaching apprentices and supporting service technicians.
  • A positive attitude and to be a good team player.
  • You must have a full UK driving licence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience of working with The Volkswagen Group brands would be desirable but is not mandatory (excellent training can be provided).
