We are looking for a specialist within conveyancing to join Talbots as Technical Support Lawyer. To be successful, you will have at least 5 years’ experience of Residential Property and comprehensive knowledge of conveyancing law and practice.
As a Technical Support Lawyer will be expected to play an integral role in our residential property teams, offering timely and accurate legal expertise for matters of title examination, contract settlement and conveyancing quality.

What the job involves:
- Create comprehensive contract report letters for each new development site and/or for sale ownership as well as conveyancing search report letters for clients;
- Examine all development documentation to check that it is suitable for sales of new property and security for mortgage lenders;
- Advise on a wide range of general complex technical issues and oversee file reviews for compliance and risk assessment to support fee earners across the department;
What you need:
- To have at least 5 years qualified experience within residential property, and possess comprehensive knowledge of conveyancing law and practice across a variety of matters;
- Competent working within the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme and working knowledge of case management systems, land registry portal and online conveyancing software;
- Able to advise on assessing the level of risk and make decisions on compliance matters with efficient communication and interpersonal skills;
