We are looking for a practical individual to join Talbots as a Solicitor within Real Estate Litigation for our Dispute Resolution Team, with at least 2 years’ experience of Residential, Commercial Landlord and Tenant disputes. As a Solicitor, you will be dealing with a range of property disputes to include pre-action and the service of notices, court proceedings and ADR, whilst managing your own caseload and assisting more senior members of the team on high-value and complex litigation matters.

What the job involves:

  • Advising individuals and business clients on a full range of property litigation matters which will include: Residential landlord and tenant disputes and repossessions, Commercial landlord and tenant disputes.
  • Providing guidance and litigating on alienation disputes, break notices, dilapidations, possession claims, rent arrears recovery and forfeiture and 146 notices.
  • Proactively involved in business development activities and to build connections locally with other professionals to include property agents.
  • Ensure compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SARs and accounting requirements.

What you need:

  • To have at least 2 years qualified experience within property litigation, managing your own caseload across a variety of matters.
  • Excellent understanding of the Civil Procedure and navigate around the court rules, competent in making and defending interim applications and conducting their own advocacy.
  • Passionate about giving outstanding client care to clients and referrers with strong interpersonal skills, sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
