We are looking for a knowledgeable Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join Talbots as Trusts and Estates Lawyer. To be successful, you will have at least 6 years of post-qualified experience.

As the Trusts and Estates Lawyer, you will be expected to undertake a full range of wills, trusts and estates work on behalf of private clients whilst being involved with business development activities.

What the job includes:

  • To manage and assist on a varied caseload advising clients on a full range of associated matters across the Trusts and Estates portfolio.
  • Drafting, reviewing, amending and issuing a range of legal documents, including wills, power of attorney, trusts and settlements.
  • Support colleagues within the department, liaising with existing and new clients, working efficiently, effectively and professionally.

What you need:

  • To be either Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 6 years post qualified experience within a Trusts & Estates Department;
  • Extensive knowledge in inheritance tax, trust and estates taxation, including establishing, administrating and terminating trusts and settlements.
  • Accurate and articulate in written and spoken communication with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent administrative, planning, organisation and time management as well as being proficient in a variety of IT software, including all MS Office applications.
