We are looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn individual to join Talbots as a Paralegal within our Trusts & Estates Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in the legal field, with a particular focus on Probate, Wills, Trusts, and Estates.

As a Paralegal, you will receive training and guidance while supporting our Lawyers in the Trust and Estates team. Your role will include assisting with typing, legal administration, and general administrative tasks on a variety of client matters, all while developing your knowledge and skills in a supportive environment.

What does the job involve?

  • Administering client matters using SOS case management system;
  • Client care and excellent customer service;
  • Speaking with speculative clients on an exploratory basis;
  • Will Preparation using Arken;
  • Registering and drafting of LPAs;
  • Assisting with straightforward estates, including applying for grants of probate and letters of administration;
  • Administering liquidation of assets and distribution of the estate;
  • Any other duties deemed to be within the capability of the post holder.

What do you need?

  • At least 12 months experience with the legal administration of Probate, Wills, Trusts and Estates.
  • Passionate about giving outstanding client care and service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Accurate and articulate in written and spoken communication (including excellent spelling and grammar).
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to use own initiative to problem solve.
  • Excellent administrative, planning, organisation and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in the use of IT, including all MS Office applications, email and internet.
