We are looking for a proactive individual to join Talbots as a Director for our Corporate & Commercial Team, with at least 8 years’ experience of managing a full caseload of company commercial work for sole traders, partners, directors and shareholders. As a Director, you will be dealing with a wide variety of business matters including sales, mergers, acquisitions and corporate reconstructions, as well as being actively involved in business development.

What the job involves:
- Advising individuals and business clients on a full range of general commercial agreements which will include: terms of business; supply agreements, distribution agreements, service agreements, asset and share purchase agreements, franchise agreements, shareholder, LLP and partnership agreements.
- Providing guidance on a range of matters, such as company restructures, corporate reconstructions, Shareholder and warranty disputes, small business purchases, partnership deeds and issues, business sales, mergers and acquisitions.
- Proactively involved in business development activities and to build connections locally with other professionals.
- Ensure compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SARs and accounting requirements.
What you need:
- To have at least 8 years qualified experience as either a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive within corporate and commercial, managing own caseload across a variety of matters.
- High level of attention to detail, excellent planning and organisation skills, confident with working to deadlines.
- Passionate about giving outstanding client care to clients and referrers with strong interpersonal skills, sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
