We're looking for a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to support major oil & gas, decommissioning, and offshore projects. This is a 12-month contract with 12 remote days per month from a secure UK location.

Role Overview:

  • Location: Basingstoke (12 remote days per month)
  • Contract: 12 months minimum
  • IR35: Inside IR35 (PAYE only)
  • Pay: Open

Responsibilities:

  • Produce project safety deliverables (HSE Plans, Philosophies, ToRs, SoWs)
  • Organise and attend ENVID, SIMOPS, HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL workshops
  • Advise on HSE compliance under UK regulations
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and specialist contractors
  • Support procurement activities (tender clarifications, bid evaluations)
  • Act as Project Discipline Lead where required

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and permitting
  • Background in oil & gas, decommissioning, and offshore projects preferred
  • Skilled in technical bid evaluation and stakeholder engagement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work independently and in teams
