Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Inspector to join the project in Teesside. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring civil works are completed to the highest standards of quality and compliance, with a strong emphasis on safety and project integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all project HSES standards and documentation.

  • Demonstrate commitment to project ethical values and contribute proactively to achieving project goals.

  • Conduct timely inspections during civil activities and take proactive measures to prevent non-compliance.

  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, promoting a \”Right-First-Time\” approach.

  • Coordinate effectively with project teams and maintain clear communication.

  • Prepare and present clear, concise reports and documentation.

General Duties
  • Monitor and review material test certificates for compliance with project specifications.

  • Review adherence to project Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).

  • Ensure compliance with project preservation requirements.

  • Maintain traceability of materials.

  • Witness manufacturing activities per approved ITPs, including occasional off-site visits.

  • Ensure completion, review, and endorsement of Manufacturer Record Books, with proper document storage.

  • Provide input for supplier performance evaluations.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Minimum 5 years\’ experience in Civils Inspection or QA/QC.

  • Minimum 10 years\’ experience in the Civil Engineering industry on similar large-scale projects.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills.

  • Strong written communication skills.

Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.

  • Proven background in QC inspection is essential.

  • Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or major infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
