About the Role
Talan is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with a strong background in SAP Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) to support a major transformation and process optimisation programme. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders and consulting partners to review the current Procure-to-Pay landscape, identify improvement opportunities, and design scalable solutions that align with both business objectives and SAP/OpenText technical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the assessment and design of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes within SAP and OpenText VIM.
- Define solution architecture and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and invoice processing performance.
- Design and deliver functional specifications for VIM enhancements, including the development of Logic Modules and data enrichment capabilities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and third-party consultants to understand current-state processes and define future-state solutions.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with SAP and OpenText best practices, technical constraints, and business requirements.
- Provide architectural guidance throughout the solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to implementation.
- Support process transformation initiatives aimed at improving controls, automation, user experience, and overall P2P effectiveness.
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or Senior SAP P2P Consultant.
- Deep understanding of SAP Procure-to-Pay processes and associated technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM).
- Experience designing and implementing VIM enhancements, including Logic Modules and workflow improvements.
- Demonstrated success delivering end-to-end P2P process transformations and optimisation programmes.
- Ability to translate business challenges into practical, scalable, and supportable solution designs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience working within complex consulting and multi-vendor delivery environments.
Desirable
- SAP S/4HANA exposure.
- Experience supporting finance transformation or shared services programmes.
- Knowledge of process automation and invoice management best practices.
