Talan are seeking a highly skilled Back-Office Business Analyst with proven experience in designing and delivering digital client onboarding portals. This role sits at the intersection of operations, technology, and product, and is critical to enhancing client onboarding journeys through intuitive UI/UX, streamlined workflows, and robust integration with trading systems. You will work closely with stakeholders across Product, UX/UI, Compliance, and Trading teams to define, analyse, and implement scalable onboarding solutions within a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Experienced in leading the analysis, design, and implementation and automating of digital client onboarding portal journeys from concept to delivery.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and Product Managers to create seamless and user-centric onboarding experiences.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
- Map and optimize back-office workflows, ensuring efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support integration of onboarding platforms with trading systems, KYC/AML tools, and client data repositories.
- Provide subject matter expertise on pre-trade and post-trade processes and their impact on onboarding.
- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and solution validation.
- Participate in testing (UAT), implementation, and post-release support.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, preferably within back-office or operations teams.
- Hands-on experience delivering digital client onboarding portals or similar customer journey platforms.
- Strong understanding of Figma in UI/UX principles and ability to collaborate effectively with design teams.
- Solid knowledge of trading environments, including both pre-trade and post-trade processes.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, Compliance, and Operations.
- Strong documentation skills (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, workflows, etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with KYC/AML onboarding systems and regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge of financial instruments and capital markets.
- Exposure to workflow automation tools or BPM platforms.
- Experience working with APIs and system integrations.
