Job Description
We are looking for a experienced/Senior Project Manager to lead and implement trading control improvements within the investment bank. This role will require close collaboration with RAC, Front Office (FO), PPT, Risk, and Compliance teams, ensuring governance, controls, and regulatory standards are effectively embedded. They will also be responsible for reporting to senior management on project progress, risks, and key deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build the project governance, including all key project documentation and presentation, acting as PMO and central point of contact for the project.
- Lead the implementation of trading control enhancements, ensuring alignment with regulatory and risk management requirements.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of governance frameworks, control standards, and monitoring processes across Front Office and Middle/Back Office.
- Work closely with RAC, traders, risk teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure effective control implementation.
- Drive the review and improvement of control standards and definitions in collaboration with Non-Financial Risk (NFR).
- Oversee the development and maintenance of a trading control inventory.
- Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior management, ensuring transparency on key risks, challenges, and milestones.
- Ensure all initiatives align with UK regulatory requirements and best practices in risk management.
- Support the Business-As-Usual (BAU) team in the production of key documentation and training materials.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within investment banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of trading control frameworks and experience implementing control improvements.
- Ability to work effectively with RAC, Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, and Compliance teams.
- Solid understanding of UK regulatory frameworks and expectations around trading controls.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
- Experience in governance, risk, and control implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive process improvement initiatives.
Additional Information
Must be able to come into the office based in London 3 times a week.
This will be an initial 9 month contract starting immediately.
The rate for this role will be £425 inside IR35
