Lancashire Constabulary is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Residential Burglary PIP1 Police Investigation Officer to join our investigative teams. This post is full time however flexible working will be considered by the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide an investigative response to incidents and received intelligence
• To work in partnership with other departments and agencies to safeguard and protect those at risk
• To secure, preserve and gather evidence within investigations in order to prove or disprove information and establish facts
• To interview victims and witnesses and obtain statements in relation to priority and volume investigations
• To use internal IT systems to research and maintain records regarding individuals and investigations

Skills and Experience:

• Must be PIP level 1 trained
• Must hold a full valid manual UK driving licence and be willing to undertake and pass the Constabulary Basic Driver Assessment prior to driving a Constabulary vehicle
• Experience of maintaining & interrogating computerised systems and manual filing systems including Excel
• Experience of writing professional reports

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
