About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Premises Maintenance Operative/Driver to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of our buildings and grounds. You'll be responsible for a range of caretaking, porterage, maintenance and driving duties, helping to ensure our facilities remain safe, functional and welcoming.
This role is primarily based in Spalding but there is opportunity to start your day in Boston.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks and health and safety checks, including testing alarms, emergency lighting and other building systems.
- Providing first-line maintenance and repairs to fixtures, fittings and equipment, escalating issues where specialist support is required.
- Conducting daily plant room inspections and monitoring building services.
- Supporting meetings, conferences and special events through venue set-up and porterage services.
- Assisting with office moves and furniture relocations.
- Managing consumable stocks, waste disposal and courier services.
- Driving a variety of vehicles to transport equipment, property and personnel between locations.
- Cleaning, checking and carrying out routine maintenance on fleet vehicles.
- Maintaining external grounds, including grass cutting, pruning, litter clearance, gritting and snow clearance.
- Using email and Excel to update and maintain work records.

- Has basic IT skills, including the ability to use email and Excel.
