The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Ready to Rent Technician to join our inventory department in Greenford, London.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that camera equipment and accessories are meticulously maintained and readily available in our stockroom to be prepped for clients.
What Youll Do
- Proactively prepare and ensure all equipment in our stockroom is rental-ready, meeting tight deadlines.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, performing basic repairs and software updates.
- Efficiently escalate complex repairs to specialised departments.
- Maintain status and repair information within our inventory management system (CMS), liaising with repair departments.
- Liaise with our maintenance team to notify and price repair costs incurred on rental.
- Kit building and testing of new equipment, replacing missing items and ordering necessary parts with line manager approval.
- Execute precise engraving, barcoding, labeling, and casing of equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory room and engraving machine.
- Identify and address equipment that requires cosmetic attention, instigating solutions.
- Provide ongoing support with requests from our regional offices.
- Utilise our CMS to prioritize prep tasks and manage work schedule.
- Identify slow-moving equipment or other challenges via CMS and physical checks, reporting to managers.
- Support annual and ad-hoc inventory counts and participate in inventory projects or clean-ups.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory room and engraving machine.
- Provide engraving support to other departments.
- Communicate effectively with our rental, inventory, prep floor and maintenance departments regarding equipment shortages or concerns.
- Maintain and update technical skills and knowledge.
- Operate under established Health & Safety guidelines, reporting concerns and suggestions.
