About Taking Care

At Taking Care, we help more than 180,000 people across the UK live safely and independently in the homes they love through trusted Technology Enabled Care (TEC) services.

For over 35 years, we've partnered with local authorities, housing associations, healthcare organisations and independent living providers to deliver compassionate, person-centred solutions that improve outcomes and reduce pressure on frontline services. Our services include 24/7 monitoring, proactive prevention, fully managed TEC services and out-of-hours support, all delivered by highly trained teams using secure, resilient technology.

We're proud to be a trusted, technology-agnostic partner, working collaboratively with our customers to design flexible solutions that meet local needs. Our people-first approach, combined with industry-leading standards and decades of operational expertise, enables us to deliver reliable, high-quality services that help organisations support vulnerable people with confidence.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Partnership Manager to join our Business Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to build strategic relationships, drive customer success and play a key role in shaping long-term partnerships.

About the Role

As Partnership Manager, you'll become the trusted relationship owner for a portfolio of strategic customers, ensuring they receive an exceptional experience throughout their partnership with Taking Care.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll lead governance meetings, monitor performance, identify opportunities for service improvement and commercial growth and act as the voice of the customer within the business.

This role is about developing partnerships, not day-to-day operational delivery. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across Operations, Customer Services, Finance, IT and Programme Delivery to ensure customers receive the very best service while helping Taking Care achieve its ambitious growth plans.

What You'll Be Doing

Strategic Partnership Management

  • Build and develop trusted relationships with key strategic customers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Develop account plans to support retention, growth and long-term success.
  • Understand each customer's objectives and identify opportunities where Taking Care can add further value.
  • Support contract renewals and long-term partnership development.

Customer Governance

  • Lead regular governance and performance review meetings.
  • Present service performance, KPIs, customer feedback and improvement plans.
  • Monitor contractual performance and ensure agreed actions are delivered.
  • Work proactively with customers to improve service outcomes.

Commercial Growth

  • Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships.
  • Lead commercial conversations with existing customers.
  • Deliver customer presentations and business reviews.
  • Work alongside the wider Business Development team where additional opportunities are identified.

Customer Experience

  • Act as the senior relationship lead during customer escalations.
  • Coordinate internal teams to ensure issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Maintain customer confidence through proactive communication.
  • Support the mobilisation of new customers, ensuring a smooth transition into operational delivery.

You'll work closely with colleagues across:

  • Emergency Resolution Centres
  • Customer Services
  • Customer Account Team
  • Finance
  • IT
  • Transformation Office
  • Marketing
  • Business Development

Together, you'll ensure customers receive a seamless, high-quality experience.

Industry Engagement

  • Keep up to date with developments across the Technology Enabled Care sector.
  • Represent Taking Care at customer events and industry conferences.
  • Share customer insight to support innovation and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships and is passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences.

Ideally you'll have:

  • Experience managing strategic customer or key accounts.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading customer governance and performance review meetings.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including contract renewals and identifying growth opportunities.
  • The ability to manage customer escalations professionally and confidently.
  • Experience working across multiple teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Experience within Technology Enabled Care (TEC), healthcare, housing, local government or another regulated service environment would be advantageous but isn't essential.

Knowledge of CRM systems such as HubSpot would also be beneficial.

Why Join Taking Care?

You'll be joining an organisation that genuinely makes a difference every day while offering a supportive and collaborative working environment.

Our benefits include:

  • 34 days annual leave, including bank holidays and your birthday off
  • Shareplan
  • Life Insurance
  • Medical Insurance Lite
  • Wellness programmes
  • One paid volunteering day each year
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Long Service Awards
  • Free on-site parking
