As part of our commitment to delivering exceptional service, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the business, supporting strategic decision-making, and contributing to our continued growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting and compliance of Key Financial Statements, with adherence to UK Accounting Standards.
- Ensuring that the ledgers are up to date, invoicing is correct and timely, and that balance sheet reconciliations are completed and reviewed.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Anaplan).
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and reconciliations.
- Manage statutory accounts and Companies House filings.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Prepare VAT returns, corporation tax information, and ONS returns.
- Monitor cash flow, capital spend, and financial controls.
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
- Oversee Risk Management activities.
Requirements:
- Part or Fully qualified accountant.
- 5+ years finance experience.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel.
- Use of recognised accounting packages.
- Interaction with all members of the Finance team.
- Working across departments on financial control and approval, at all levels of the organisation.
